My 6 Step Process

Discovery Call
We’ll discuss your creative needs in further detail. From there, I’ll put together a customized proposal and shoot plan, based on your brand’s goals and timeline.

Proposal & Shoot Plan
Once you’ve reviewed and approved your proposal and contract, we’ll schedule production dates, build a shot list and moodboard, and I’ll circle back for your approval on props and other visual elements.

Product Shipment
I work out of my own beautiful studio here in Guadalajara, Mexico, which bodes well for remote product photography shoots. Prior to sending your products my way, I’ll be in touch with instructions on the best way to mail your items.

Pre-Production & Prop Scouting
Being that I offer a full-service photography experience, I also take care of set design, prop scouting and moodboards - all of which will be sent to you for your review and approval.

Shooting & Post-Production
Upon receiving your approval for sets and props, I’ll proceed with our agreed-upon shoot date. After our photoshoot, I’ll also wrap up editing, color correction, and retouching.

Project Delivery
Your visual assets will be delivered to you efficiently via an online gallery.

We’ve never outsourced our photography before. Why should we?
At the heart of every successful brand lies an impactful visual marketing strategy. In a world where businesses have transitioned to being fully online, many brands have lost the art of experiential sales. Currently, you have only two things to rely on: the words you write, and the images you share.
Product photography is not just a simple “point and click” process. In fact, a majority of the work, strategy, and time happens before an image is even taken. When you invest in product photography, you’re investing in art direction, set design, prop creation, photography equipment, licensing rights, talent, and education that would take years to learn and create. As your product photography partner, I bring the experience of a full-service photography agency, at a fraction of the cost of hiring a full-time team.
A typical product photography shoot can take upwards of 6-10 weeks, depending on the size and scope of the campaign. By removing that workload, you’re allowing your internal team to focus on what really matters: creating more products and marketing to the masses.
How does the process work?
Because I offer a full-service experience, I’ll work with you from the very beginning of your project or campaign, right up until its completion. From the start of your project, up until its final delivery, a typical turnaround timeline can take anywhere from 6-10 weeks.
As your photography partner, I’ll take care of pre-production, set styling, art direction, editing, and retouching through my personal studio - saving you the additional fees of booking a separate space, and finding extra team members.

When should I book?
You might have noticed that projects are labor and time-intensive - and that’s correct! For a shoot with as few as 10 images, the process can last upwards of 6-10 weeks.
In order to give your visual assets and planning process the care and attention they deserve, I recommend reaching out for a discovery call at least 10-12 weeks before your desired completion date. For work outside of that timeline, expedited projects may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, with an additional rush fee.
How do you manage product shipment?
I work with brands internationally and am typically able to receive products here in Guadalajara. However, if you’re unable to ship your products to Mexico, please don’t hesitate to let me know. In order to allow for the safe and secure arrival of your product(s), I do offer an alternate US shipping address for your convenience. Because this would prolong the process, please account for a few extra days for the product(s) to arrive, and an additional shipping fee (typically 30% of the product’s value).
What equipment do you use?
I believe that powerful imagery is created by light, props, and incredible set design. I also find that maintaining a level of simplicity in shooting and production equipment allows me to create my best work. I shoot with a Canon 6D Mark II and love my Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L. I tend to rely on one strobe, and a big softbox and/or reflectors from time to time.
What happens in post-production?
After your photoshoot comes the editing, retouching, and color correction process - also known as post-production. I use Adobe Lightroom for the color correction and basic editing process, and for some projects, that’s more than enough. Depending on your shoot and imagery needs, other images or projects might require more exhaustive retouching. In those instances, I’ll use a combination of Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom.
